Users Can Edit Tweets on Twitter Five Times, But Only Once Every 30 Minutes: Report 

The media claimed a few days ago that Twitter would soon begin charging for the ability to modify individual tweets. The business has since confirmed that users will only be able to make edits to their tweets for 30 minutes and a maximum of five times. By the end of the month, Twitter users would finally be able to edit their tweets.

According to a report by TechCrunch, Twitter is introducing a limit where users would only be able to alter the published tweet up to five times and within 30 minutes. This is likely to prevent People on Twitter from abusing the functionality by changing the content of the tweet on a whim. TechCrunch reports that the microblogging service is keeping an eye on user behaviour and may alter the number of revisions that can be made within the allotted period.

With the launch of Twitter Blue later this month, users will finally have the ability to modify their tweets.

After years of discussion about whether or not Twitter needed an edit button, this might be the first instance that it was offered as a premium service.

With Edit Tweet, Twitter hopes users will find tweeting to be “friendlier” and “less stressful.”

In response to a recent blog post, the microblogging service explained, “So what is Edit Tweet, you ask? Excellent question. Edit Tweet is a function that allows individuals to make adjustments to their Tweet after it has been published. Think of it as a brief period to do things such as fix typos, add missed tags, and more.”

To assist discover and fix any concerns, including how individuals might abuse the feature, Twitter is testing the Modify Tweet feature with a limited group, as it does with any new product.

“Later this month, we’ll be planning to expand Edit Tweet access to Twitter Blue subscribers. As part of their subscription, they receive early advanced features and help us test them already when they come to Twitter,” the microblogging site noted. “The test will be localised to a single country at first and expand as we learn and observe how people use Edit Tweet.” “We’ll also be paying close attention to how the feature influences the way people read, write, and engage with Tweets,” the microblogging site noted.
