According to a report by TechCrunch, Twitter is introducing a limit where users would only be able to alter the published tweet up to five times and within 30 minutes. TechCrunch reports that the microblogging service is keeping an eye on user behaviour and may alter the number of revisions that can be made within the allotted period.

With the launch of Twitter Blue later this month, users will finally have the ability to modify their tweets.
After years of discussion about whether or not Twitter needed an edit button, this might be the first instance that it was offered as a premium service.
With Edit Tweet, Twitter hopes users will find tweeting to be “friendlier” and “less stressful.”
In response to a recent blog post, the microblogging service explained, “So what is Edit Tweet, you ask? Excellent question. “Later this month, we’ll be planning to expand Edit Tweet access to Twitter Blue subscribers. As part of their subscription, they receive early advanced features and help us test them already when they come to Twitter,” the microblogging site noted. “The test will be localised to a single country at first and expand as we learn and observe how people use Edit Tweet.” “We’ll also be paying close attention to how the feature influences the way people read, write, and engage with Tweets,” the microblogging site noted.
