New Kia Sonet X Line Launch Soon: The Kia Sonet X Line is likely to be offered in two variants – a diesel automatic and a turbo petrol DCT.

New Kia Sonet X Line: Kia has performed well in the Indian car market since its debut on Indian soil with the Seltos in August 2019. Seeing the tremendous success of Seltos, Kia plans to introduce its special edition model Seltos X line. The X Line model of the Seltos is more aggressive than its parent model. It gets cosmetic changes, which adds to the SUV’s appeal. Now according to the reports, Kia may soon launch the X Line variant of the Sonnet as well. It is believed that a lot of cosmetic changes will be seen in this too, which will make its look even better.

Possible cosmetic updates for the Kia Sonet X line

Talking about the most prominent highlights, it can get a dark exterior theme with a graphite black color scheme, which is only seen in the X Line range. Also, this shade will be offered with a matte finish. Apart from the sideboard and chrome work, most of the components of its exterior can be seen as black. Some minor changes can also be seen in the front grille with a matte insert.

The front grille is likely to get the piano black treatment on the outlines as well as the fog lamps. Apart from this, the fog lamp housing, front and rear skid plates, alloy wheels, and side body cladding can get a touch of sun orange insert. The company can offer 18-inch crystal-cut alloy wheels with matte graphite treatment in it.

Possible Features and Powertrain

The Kia Sonet X Line is likely to be offered in two variants – a diesel automatic and a turbo petrol DCT. The diesel variant could come with a 1.5-litre CRDi diesel engine mated to a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. It can generate 114 Bhp power and 250 Nm peak torque. 

At the same time, the petrol variant 1.0-litre GDi turbo petrol engine can be found, which can generate 118 bhp power and 172 Nm peak torque. A 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox can also be found in this unit. It is believed that its price can be around Rs 14 lakh (ex-showroom).
