LPG Cylinder Price Hike: There has been a huge increase in the price of LPG cylinder by the oil companies. Companies have made domestic gas cylinders costlier by Rs 50 from the morning of July 6. With this, the price of gas cylinder in Delhi has increased to Rs 1053. Apart from this, the price of domestic gas cylinder has gone up to Rs 1079 in Kolkata, Rs 1052.50 in Mumbai and Rs 1068.50 in Chennai.

Commercial cylinders cheaper by Rs 8.50 

On July 1, the commercial gas cylinder in Delhi was reduced to Rs 2021. Now after the further cut in the price on 6th July, it has become Rs 2012.50. Similarly, a 19 kg commercial gas cylinder will be available in Kolkata for Rs 2,132. It has reached Rs 1972.50 in Mumbai and Rs 2177.50 in Chennai. Earlier, the price of domestic gas cylinders was last changed on May 19.

The price of commercial LPG cylinders was cut by Rs 135 on 1 June, before July 1, the cylinder became cheaper by more than Rs 300. In this way, during the last 35 days, the price of commercial cylinders has been cut by more than Rs 300. (In May, the rates of cylinders had increased to Rs 2354.

Subsidy of Rs 200 per cylinder

Last days, the government had announced a subsidy of Rs 200 per cylinder under the Ujjwala scheme to give relief to the public from inflation. This subsidy will be available only up to 12 cylinders annually. More than 9 crore consumers have benefited from this move of the government.
