In connection with the 200 crore money laundering case involving suspected conman Sukesh Chandrashekar, Jacqueline Fernandez is a target of an ongoing investigation. The actor’s attorney discussed Sukesh sending a letter indicating Jacqueline Fernandez was not involved in the alleged fraud in a recent interview. In response to the letter, Jacqueline’s attorney said the star was innocent and would continue to “fight for her dignity.” Read more about Jacqueline’s unusual public appearance at an occasion in Mumbai.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) recently objected to Jacqueline’s request for bail in the Sukesh money laundering case. The actor, according to the agency, only disclosed the investigation’s findings after being presented with proof. Jacqueline seemed to be “deep-pocketed,” according to ED, and might thus obstruct the current inquiry. Sukesh’s most recent letter to his attorney has now prompted a response from Jacqueline’s attorney Prashant Patil, who said that the accusations made in the letter should be fairly and “seriously probed.”
“If it was authored by Sukesh Chandrasekhar, then the Enforcement Directorate has to conduct a thorough, impartial investigation into his accusations (ED). The contents make it clear that an inquiry is required based on the information he has provided. According to the relevant legal laws, his testimony may be documented, and an inquiry can be conducted to ascertain the facts, Prashant Patil informed ETimes.
He said that Jacqueline will defend her honour “by following the proper course of justice” and that she was innocent. “Any investigation’s goal is to learn the truth. Even if specific information is provided by the accused, the authorities must conduct a fair investigation. I’ll say it again: My client is innocent, and she’ll defend her honour by going through the proper legal channels, Prashant Patil said.
In a handwritten letter supporting Jacqueline that was sent to the public by his attorney, Sukesh Chandrashekhar said, “It’s very, very terrible that Jacqueline has been named an accused in the PMLA (money laundering) case… We were dating, so what does it matter if I gave her and her family presents if we were dating? She never asked me for anything than my love and support.
In the Sukesh Chandrashekar money laundering case, a Delhi judge this month granted Jacqueline temporary release. However, ED recently challenged the bail request in a hearing before the Delhi court, claiming she made an unsuccessful attempt to exit the country.
Ram Setu, a movie starring Akshay Kumar and released on October 25 during Diwali, featured Jacqueline. Nushrratt Bharuccha, Satyadev Kancharana, and Nassar are also featured in the movie.
