How to change it:
If you have an iPhone, then the background color cannot be changed in the app. Because it mirrors your device’s settings in general. This simply means that if your phone is in light mode, the background will be white. At the same time, if it is in dark mode then the background will be black.
If you have an Android phone, you can change the setting in the Instagram app. For this you have to go to your profile picture at the bottom right of the screen. Then click on the hamburger menu above. Next, go to Settings and then click on Themes. Here you will be able to switch between dark and light mode.
