Farmers are planning to hold a protest on Monday at Jantar Mantar in the central city to get what they want. The Delhi Police has assured us that there will be a lot of security there.
After the Samyukt Rojgar Andolan Samiti held the “Rozgar Sansad” (employment parliament) at Jantar Mantar, where many farmer leaders and groups were present, plans are being made for the next protest (SRAS).
A group of farmers called Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) had said before that they would start a 75-hour sit-in in Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh, on August 18 and last for three days.

According to news agency PTI, the demonstrators in Lakhimpur Kheri requested the removal of the Electricity (Amendment) Bill, 2022 as well as a law establishing a minimum support price (MSP) for crops.
Before the farmers’ appeal for a march at Jantar Mantar on Monday, the Delhi Police erected concrete barricades and increased the number of officers stationed there, according to news agency ANI.

Rakesh Tikait, Farmer Leader, is detained by Delhi Police
As he attempted to enter the city to take part in a protest against unemployment at Jantar Mantar, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait was stopped by Delhi Police on Sunday at the Ghazipur border, according to news agency PTI.
According to Tikait, a senior member of the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) and national spokesperson for the Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU), the Delhi police were acting under the direction of the Centre, preventing him from seeing the unemployed youth.
According to the report, an official with the Delhi Police stated that Tikait was detained at the border about afternoon time.
After that, he was taken into custody and brought to the Madhu Vihar police station, where officers had a conversation with him and asked him to come back, according to the report that was given by Dependra Pathak, who serves as the Special Commissioner of Police for Law and Order.
An officer with the Delhi Police Department is quoted as saying that Tikait was detained at the border in the afternoon.

Tikait attacked the government in a Hindi tweet, writing “The administration cannot silence the farmers’ voice, even with the help of the Delhi Police. It will start a new revolution with this arrest. The fight will go on until the very last breath. won’t give up, won’t get weary, won’t submit.” The unemployed, young people, farmers, and workers in the nation were all accused by him of being oppressed by the Center.
