He explained that previously this year, the organization had launched a three-stage strategy for developing a full EV portfolio. To help hasten the company’s future journey, Chandra said 10 EVs would be introduced across a variety of product categories, body shapes, and price points.

He also noted that the company was “in the forefront of the next stage of the EV market evolution,” making the “exciting yet easy drive,” “silent cabin” and “low cost of ownership” two benefits that are more generally available when electric vehicles are used.

Chandra reaffirmed the automaker’s dedication to its target of making India the global EV hub. He also mentioned that a new mobility service, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility (TPEM), had been founded in collaboration with TPG Rise Climate.

According to Chandra, TPEM plans to capitalise on the growing interest in eco-friendly products and services, as well as to help the government achieve its goal of a 30% market share for electric vehicles by 2030. Currently, Tata Motors’ Nexon EV is the best-selling electric passenger vehicle in India, contributing to the company’s 88% market dominance.

“We entered the market early on with Nexon EV & Tigor EV, and we’ve seen both products—and the market—develop and expand. With almost 40,000 Tata EVs currently on the road, “As Chandra put it. In the next weeks, the business will announce the Tiago EV’s full range of features and pricing.
