Here’s something to make your journey to Europe a little more enjoyable: Croatia has just joined the Schengen region without border checks. Croatia may now be added to a traveler’s list of nations they can visit on a single Schengen visa thanks to the European Union’s (EU) decision to officially recognise it as a Schengen state.
As the 27th country to join Schengen, travellers will be able to enter Croatia with a Schengen visa starting on January 1, 2023. Despite the fact that the border check-free policy will go into effect on January 1, technical preparations at the nation’s airport will be allowed to start on March 26.
Slovenia, Hungary, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Italy border Croatia (sea border). Slovenia, Hungary, and Italy are Schengen states among these nations.
Describe the Schengen area.
The biggest visa-free region in the world is a Schengen zone or area. The Schengen region now includes 27 nations. Meaning that you may theoretically visit 27 countries without a visa with a single Schengen visa.
Now, many of these nations have common borders, and in addition to air services, one may also travel between them by trains, ships, and even roads.
You are granted 180 days of travel time inside the Schengen region as part of your Schengen visa. It enables a traveller to see a variety of sights and nations in a condensed amount of time.
So, have you begun to plan your trip to Europe?
