MG Air EV: MG Motor India has said that the 2-door Air EV would be released in the first quarter of 2023. This little electric vehicle might make its premiere at the Delhi Auto Expo in January. This will be the brand’s entry-level electric vehicle, and it is thought to be more expensive than the previously unveiled Tata Tiago EV. It will, however, be less compact than that. The Wuling Air EV, which is currently offered for purchase in Indonesia, will serve as the model for the MG Air EV. The Wuling Air EV’s design is extremely adorable, and there may be some similarities between it and the MG Air EV as well. The new MG electric vehicle is anticipated to cost approximately Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom).
In terms of the drivetrain, the Air EV may have a battery pack that is 20–25 kWh in size. Its motor may be able to produce 40 horsepower. The LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) cells used in the model are renowned for their extended lifespan, light weight, easy maintenance, and improved charge efficiency. The Tata Nexon EV also made use of a comparable cell. Under normal driving circumstances, it can provide a 150 km range on a single charge. The compact electric vehicle will use front-wheel drive (FWD) technology.
MG Air EV lengths may reach around 2.9 metres. The automobile is anticipated to have a wheelbase of 2010mm and a small, boxy design. This has squared-off headlights, angular front bumpers, a light bar that runs from corner to corner up front, thin fog lamps, charging port doors, 12-inch steel wheels with plastic hub caps, and smaller taillamps. Speaking of features, an electric automobile may provide a dual 10.25-inch display, one for infotainment and the other for the instrument panel.
