Recent media sources indicate that the new Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara will debut on the Indian market on September 26, where it will rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Volkswagen Taigun, Kia Seltos Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor, and more. With just Rs 11,000, you may reserve a brand new Grand Vitara. More than 53,000 of the company’s soon-to-be-released SUV have already been preordered. Intriguingly, over half of all preorders are for the strong-hybrid model. Despite the popularity of all-wheel drive (AWD) models, they only account for 5%-6% of all bookings. The next Maruti Suzuki grand Vitara could cost anywhere from Rs 11 lakh (about $15,000) to Rs 19 lakh (about $30,000).
The new Grand Vitara is 4,345 millimetres in length, 1,795 millimetres in width, and 1,645 millimetres in height, with a wheelbase measuring 2,600 millimetres.
The Grand Vitara will have two engine options: a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine with moderate hybrid technology, and a 1.5-liter petrol engine with a powerful hybrid system. The former is available either with a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission, while the latter is only available with an electronic continuously variable transmission. Furthermore, both front-wheel drive (FWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) configurations are offered with the NA petrol motor. The powerful hybrid model will only be offered in front-wheel drive (FWD).
The Grand Vitara’s cabin is filled to the brim with cutting-edge gadgetry, including a heads-up display, 360º camera, linked car technology, 9-inch touchscreen navigation unit, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and more. The new Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara is expected to be on sale by the end of September. It will compete with vehicles like the Hyundai Creta, Volkswagen Taigun, Kia Seltos Skoda Kushaq, & MG Astor.
