Volvo XC40 Mild Hybrid Model: Volvo, a Swedish automaker, has debuted the updated models of its cars. These cars have not only been given extra features in the new avatar, but also the option of a mild-hybrid engine. However, the Volvo XC40, the company’s least expensive car in India, is the one that gets the most attention. Only the B4 Ultimate model is offered, and the manufacturer has set the price at Rs. 45.90 lakh (ex-showroom). For a brief while over the holiday season, the firm is offering a discount of Rs 2.70 lakh; after that, it will be available for Rs 43.20 lakh.

Speaking of the exterior, the front has been equipped with LED headlights that also feature integrated LED DRLs. The DRL resembles Thor’s hammer in terms of design. In the centre is the front grille, which is hexagonal. The housing for the fog light has also been modified. Its whole front face now resembles the electric model.
However, the 18-inch alloy wheels and dual-tone paint job are no longer included. Instead, the car is now equipped with a single tone colour and basic silver alloy wheels with five spokes. The reverse side has not changed. Customers have five colour selections from which to choose their favourite shade.

The redesigned XC40’s interiors likewise don’t much alter from the previous model. The previous all-black motif returns. On the contrary, the door panels and dashboard now have new wooden trim. A smartphone-like experience will be provided by its touchscreen infotainment system, which also runs on the latest Android operating system. It will thus get Google Maps and other services from the Google Play Store. It has a 14-speaker Harman Kardon sound system and offers Apple CarPlay connection. Additionally, a panoramic sunroof, an air purifier with a PM 2.5 filter, and wireless smartphone charging are included in this crossover.
The Volvo XC40 has also been designed with safety in mind. The Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) that it has is equipped with features like adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assistance, rear cross-traffic warning, pilot assist, and blind-spot monitoring.

The powerplant for the mild hybrid has undergone the most significant alteration. The car now has a 48V battery in addition to the 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine. It will have greater power, but it will also use less gasoline now that it is more fuel-efficient. This engine produces a maximum torque of 300 Nm and 197 horsepower. Its claimed fuel efficiency is 15 kilometres per litre (ARAI). The engine is coupled to an automated transmission with an eight-speed torque converter that drives just the front wheels.
