Some of these will be EVs, which will be made by converting the existing IC model. At the same time, there will be some who will be Born EV. Tata Cruvv-based mid-size SUV coupe and Tata Avinya electric SUV will be coming in the market in the coming time, the company has introduced its concept model. However, now the Tata Safari SUV has been spotted with a green license plate, which points to its electric version. However, no official information has been received about its launch plan. Therefore, it is very difficult to say that the company is going to bring an electric model of Safari.

Currently, the Tata Safari is available with a 2.0L Kryotech diesel engine that produces 168bhp of maximum power and 350Nm of peak torque. The carmaker has been testing the Safari petrol for some time now. The new petrol model of the SUV is likely to use Tata’s new 1.5L turbocharged engine along with a 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox options. It will be a more powerful version of Nexon’s 1.2L turbo petrol engine. The petrol engine of Tata Safari can give power close to 160bhp and torque of 250Nm.
Launch in coming days
The company may launch the first Tata Altroz premium hatchback and the electric version of the Tata Punch mini SUV in the coming days. The next big launch from Tata could be the Altroz EV with updated Ziptron electric technology. The domestic carmaker will also give a mid-life update to its hugely popular Tata Harrier SUV. The facelifted version may get the 360-degree camera, updated infotainment system, fully digital instrument cluster, ambient lighting, and an electronic parking brake. The SUV could also be offered with the ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) suite.
