Covid Spring Booster Dose: In a recent survey conducted in Britain, a big thing has come out about the corona vaccine. In a nationwide study, it has been found that the fourth dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine is safe and increases the level of antibodies much more than the third dose.
Fourth dose is given as a spring booster
Researchers said that the fourth dose of the Covid-19 vaccine is being given as a ‘spring booster’ to people very sensitive to corona in Britain. He said that this has been a precautionary strategy to maintain high levels of antibodies before the study data is available.
4th dose showed good results
The results, published in ‘The Lancet Infectious Disease Journal’, show that the fourth dose of the vaccine for Covid-19 shows good results in people who have received the third dose of the Pfizer vaccine. According to the researchers, they move both antibodies and shell bodies beyond the maximum level expected for booster doses.

Professor Saul Faust, Director of the NIHR Southampton Clinical Research Facility and Head of the Trial, said: “These results illustrate the benefits to highly vulnerable people receiving the current spring dose and provide confidence for any potential vaccinations in the UK.”
Spring booster is given about seven months after the third dose
In the study, after taking the initial dose of Pfizer or AstraZeneca in June 2021, 166 such people were selected who got the Pfizer vaccine as the third dose. These people were selected to take the full dose of Pfizer or half the dose of Moderna as the fourth dose without any set sequence. These people were given the fourth dose about seven months after the third dose.
There are no serious side effects of the fourth dose
Researchers said that pain and fatigue were the most common symptoms at the vaccination center, but no serious side effects related to the vaccine were seen. These people got the fourth dose safely and easily. NIHR’s clinical head for the Covid-19 vaccination program, Prof. Andrew Ustyanovsky said, ‘We knew that at the beginning of the year it was necessary to give the most vulnerable (in terms of disease) the fourth dose.’
