CWG 2022: 7th Day
20th medal: Sudhir (Gold)
Sudhir won gold in the heavyweight division of the Para Power Lifting competition. At the Commonwealth Games, he is the first Indian to win gold in this event. Sudhir won the gold medal in the 212 kg weightlifting with a score of 134.5.
19th medal: Murali Sreeshankar (Silver)
Murali Sreeshankar, the country’s long-jumper, took home the silver medal. Despite a personal best of 8.08 meters in the men’s long jump final, he was unable to capture the gold. Sreeshankar has also become the first Indian male long jump athlete to win a silver medal for India in the history of the Commonwealth Games with this achievement.
CWG 2022: 6th Day
18th medal: Tejaswin Shankar (Bronze)
The bronze medal went to Tejaswin Shankar after he jumped 2.22 meters in the high jump. Athletes from India have won their first medal at this Commonwealth Games. This is the first time India has won a medal in the high jump at a Commonwealth Games.
17th medal: Gurdeep Singh (Bronze)
Lifting 390 pounds, Gurdeep Singh took home the bronze medal in the men’s 109 kg + weight class. Indian weightlifters have won a total of ten medals at these Commonwealth Games.
16th Medal: Tulika Mann (Silver)
India’s Tulika Mann won silver in the +78kg category for women’s judo at the World Judo Championships. She was one of the favorites to win the gold, but in the end, she came up short.
15th medal: Saurav Ghoshal (Bronze)
Men’s singles bronze went to Saurav Ghosal of India. He became the first squash player from India to win a medal at the Commonwealth Games. In the bronze medal match, he beat James Willstrop of England 11-6, 11-1, 11-4.
14th medal: Lovepreet Singh (Bronze)
Lovepreet Singh won bronze in the men’s 109 kg weightlifting category. He lifted a total of 355 kilograms to win this medal.

CWG 5th Day:
13th Medal: Mixed Badminton Team (Silver)
Mixed Badminton team gold went to Malaysia, while silver was awarded to India after a 1-3 defeat. Satwik Sairaj Ranki Reddy and Chirag Shetty were beaten in this match. As a result, Treeja Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand, the women’s doubles team, also lost. Srikanth had to deal with defeat as well. A single PV Sindhu emerged victorious.
12th Medal: Vikas Thakur (Silver)
Weightlifter Vikas Thakur took home the silver medal in the men’s 96 kg class. At one point Vikas lifted 191 kilograms (155 kilograms in clean/jerk mode) in his first clean/jerk workout. He was the runner-up, weighing in at 346 kilograms.
11th Medal: Men’s Table Tennis Team (Gold)
India’s Men’s Table Tennis Team defeated Singapore 3-1 to win gold in the final match of the tournament. India’s gold medal was provided by the team of Sharad Kamal, G Sathiyan, and Harmeet Desai. Sathiyan and Harmeet both won singles matches and doubles matches to give India the gold medal. Sharad Kamal fell short in the singles competition.
10th Medal: Women’s Lawn Balls Team (Gold)
The Indian women’s four lawn ball team won gold for the first time. This medal was given to India by the lovely Choubeys, Pinky, Nayanmoni Saikia, and Roopa Rani. India won the gold medal match by a score of 17-10 over South Africa.
CWG 4th Day:
9th medal: Harjinder Kaur (Bronze medal)
Harjinder Kaur, a weightlifter competing in the 71-kilogram weight class, finished third with a 212-kilogram lift. Harjinder’s best snatch and clean and jerk lifts were 93 and 119 kilograms, respectively.
8th Medal: Vijay Kumar Yadav (Bronze Medal)
India’s Vijay Kumar Yadav won bronze in Judo. Australia’s Joshua knocked him out of the 60kg men’s division quarterfinals. For his efforts in the repechage matches, he was awarded bronze. In the bronze medal match, Vijay thrashed Cyprus’ Prato by a score of 10-0.
7th Medal: Sushila Devi (Silver Medal)
A Judo competitor by the name of Sushila Devi Likmabam won silver in the 48 kg division. Sushila faced Michaela Whitboi of South Africa in the final, but lost in extra time.
CWG 3rd Day:
6th medal: Achinta Shiuli (Gold medal)
In the men’s 73 kg weight class, Achinta Shiuli lifted 143 kilograms in the snatch round and 170 kilograms in the clean and jerk round. In this manner, he managed to lift a total of 313 kg and secure India’s third gold medal.
5th medal: Jeremy Lalrinnunga (Gold Medal)
This is India’s second gold medal at the Commonwealth Games, thanks to the efforts of Jeremy Lalrinnunga. Lifting a total of 300 kg, he won gold in the 67 kg division. He beat Waipawa Loane, the silver medalist, by lifting 7 kilograms more weight (293kg).
CWG 2022: 2nd Day
4th Medal: Bindiyarani Devi (Silver Medal)
Bindiyarani Devi, an Indian weightlifter, won silver in the 55 kg category. He won silver by lifting a total of 202 kilograms in the snatch and clean and jerk lifts. She missed out on the gold medal by a sliver of a pound.
3rd Medal: Mirabai Chanu (Gold Medal)
This is India’s first gold medal at the Commonwealth Games, and it’s been won by Olympic medalist Mirabai Chanu. He lifted 201 pounds to win the gold medal in the 49 kg weight class. Mirabai was able to snatch 88 pounds and clean and jerk 113 pounds.
2nd Medal: Gururaj Pujari (Bronze Medal)
Weightlifter Gururaja Pujari earned India’s second medal at the Commonwealth Games. His 269kg lift earned him third place in the men’s 61kg weight class and a bronze medal.First Medal: Sanket Mahadev Sagar (Silver Medal)
Weightlifter Sanket Mahadev Sargar gave India its first medal in the Commonwealth Games 2022. On the second day CWG 2022, he won silver in the men’s 55kg weight category by lifting 113kg in snatch and 135kg in clean and jerk i.e. a total of 248kg. He was just 1kg behind gold medalist weightlifter Mohamed Anik of Malaysia.
