Simply put, what is FASTag?
FASTag is a vehicle-mounted RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) sticker. Using it to collect toll taxes has grown substantially in recent years in India. Once you’ve attached it to your car’s windshield, you can skip the toll booth the next time you travel.

Since January 1, 2022, FASTag installation has been mandated per the Central Motor Vehicles Rules (CMVR), 1989 issued by the Ministry of Road Transport.
All passenger and commercial M and N category four-wheelers are subject to regulations set forth by the Ministry of Road Transport.
