However, the second-generation Duster is still available for sale in the overseas market. The company will also introduce the next-gen Duster SUV, which will come with a new design, feature-loaded cabin, and efficient powertrain options. According to the ongoing reports in the French media, the new Renault Duster project is already in the development phase in Europe, where it is sold under the Dacia brand.
According to reports, the all-new Renault Duster will be ready by the end of 2023 and is expected to be launched in 2024. The new model will be a reduced version of the bigster SUV, which was first showcased as a concept in 2021. The production-ready 7-seater Bigster SUV is expected to be launched in Brazil in 2023-24. The new Renault Duster mid-size SUV will be based on the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance’s CMF-B platform, which will also house the bigger SUV.
According to reports, the new generation Renault Duster for India is also in the works. The India-spec model could be based on the new CMF-B LS platform, which is a lower version of the Renault-Nissan Alliance’s CMF-B platform. The CMF-B LS version will be more affordable and has been designed keeping in mind the conditions and requirements in the developing markets.
The platform will be optimized by adding and removing some of the technology. However, it will remain in line with global security. Similar to the global model, the India-spec model is likely to be offered with a hybrid powertrain. The new model will also retain the off-road capability of the previous Duster. The Duster 4×4 was one of the cheapest 4WD SUVs available.
