Indian Railway Recruitment: 1.5 Lakh Government Jobs in Railways! Know when the applicants can get the job

Indian Railway Recruitment 2022: Railways said that from 2014-15 to 2021-22, its total recruitment was 3,49,422 people with an average of 43,678 years annually, while in 2022-23 it will recruit 1,48,463 people.

Sarkari Naukri In Indian Railway: Railways said that it will recruit 1,48,463 people in the next one year, while 43,678 people have been recruited annually on an average in the last 8 years. This step comes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s directive to recruit 10 lakh people in different departments and ministries in the next 18 months. 

According to the new annual report of the Pay and Allowance Expenditure Department, the total number of regular central government employees in the posts (including union territories) as on March 1, 2020, stood at 31.91 lakh. While 40.78 lakh posts are sanctioned. Around 21.75 percent posts were vacant. The report said that about 92 percent of the total manpower comes under five major ministries or departments – Railways, Defense (Civil), Home Affairs, Posts and Revenue.

Of the total number of 31.33 lakh (excluding Union Territories), the share of Railways is 40.55 percent. Government sources said that different departments and ministries were asked to prepare the details of the vacant posts after the instructions of PM Modi and after the overall review, it was decided to recruit 10 lakh people.

During the different assembly elections, the opposition parties tried to corner the BJP on the issue of unemployment. The Railways said that from 2014-15 to 2021-22, its total recruitment was 3,49,422 people with an average of 43,678 years annually, while in 2022-23 it will recruit 1,48,463 people. In the total expenditure on salaries and allowances in 2019-20, the Ministry of Railways continues to account for the largest share of 35.06 percent, which is marginally lower than 36.78 percent in 2018-19.

According to official documents, the national transporter has abolished more than 72,000 posts in the last six years. These are all Group C and D posts which are no longer of use due to technology, and will not be available for recruitment purposes in future. At present, the employees working in such posts are likely to be sent to different departments of the Railways.
