The reserve includes Mohd Shami, Shreyas Iyer, Ravi Bishnoi, and Deepak Chahar. The All-India Senior Selection Committee met on Monday to choose India’s sides for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia and the T20 International series at home against Australia and South Africa.
The Indian team will be led by Rohit Sharma, with KL Rahul serving as his backup. Jasprit Bumrah & Harshal Patel, two of the top pacers, returned to the lineup.

The first game of the series between India and Pakistan will take place on October 23. Bumrah, who had a back ailment, and Harshal, who suffered from a side strain, both underwent a rigorous rehab program at the National Cricket Academy, and the BCCI medical staff has determined that they are healthy enough to play in the premier series. Avesh Khan, a pacer, and Ravi Bishnoi, a leg-spinner who lost out to veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, were the two players that failed to qualify for the World Cup. Veteran pacer Mohammed Shami, though, was back in the T20 picture because he was chosen for the T20 series against Australia and South Africa before the major event and is also one of the four stand-bys who are going to Australia.
Shreyas Iyer, Bishnoi, & seamer Deepak Chahar make up the remaining three reserve players.
