Earlier, it was said in various media sources that Tata Motors was planning to release a new SUV in the C-segment that may be called “Blackbird” (Kali Chidiya in Hindi). It would have competed with the Hyundai Creta when it was released, however according to recent news sources, Tata has halted the “Blackbird” project. Tata really needed to work with Chinese carmaker Chery to create this SUV, but because of the hostility between India and China, Tata shelved this idea. Tata has, however, established a backup plan.

It may be equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine (160 bhp output), an improved 1.2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine (140 bhp output), or a 1.5-liter diesel engine with Nexon for the diesel option. The next facelifts of the Harrier and Safari, which are expected to be on sale later this year, will likely have the 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine.
Due to the Tata Curve’s coupe SUV shape and decreasing roofline, there may be reduced headroom in the backseat. It will have a tonne of features. It will include a lot of high-tech amenities, like 360-degree cameras, huge touchscreen screens, and ventilated seats.
