Informed sources have speculated that drivers can use the app or website to find the locations of charging stations along their trip in real-time. According to additional information obtained, BEE is serving as the primary nodal agency for producing this software, and progress on this front is nearing completion.
In January of this year, the Power Ministry established rules for the creation of such software. It has been speculated that the data flow on charging stations provided by the smartphone app and the web portal will aid in the enhancement of mobility services.
The government is also planning to construct modest charging stations along highways, in cities, and even in villages, and to install smart metres on electric poles in designated areas. Card swipers for charging electric vehicles’ batteries would be issued to their owners.
These adapters, which would be developed by BEE, would include cables for charging light evs like two- and three-wheelers, so say reliable sources. These chargers, as stated by BEE, will contain a system for measuring and registering electric energy supplied and a capability for charging electric vehicles after user verification via mobile app. According to additional information gathered, these chargers would be installed on electric poles in open parking lots.
