There is good news for WhatsApp users. Users will soon be able to edit sent messages. Let us know how it will be used…
WhatsApp is the most used social messaging app. Everything is done through WhatsApp only. Whether it is office work or online class. WhatsApp keeps on bringing new updates and features from time to time. Now WhatsApp is bringing such a feature, which people are eagerly waiting for. Whatsapp is going to bring an edit button very soon. The messaging app was testing the edit button on the beta version of WhatsApp. There is no edit button on WhatsApp yet. Text once sent can only be deleted, but cannot be edited. But the upcoming feature can make editing possible after sending the text.
Edit button will be available on WhatsApp
WhatsApp tracking website Wabetainfo spotted this feature. WhatsApp will now allow users to edit messages after sending them. WhatsApp reportedly started working on the feature five years ago but dropped it soon after it was reported on Twitter. Finally, after a hiatus of five years, WhatsApp has again considered working on the edit feature.
Wabetainfo shared the screenshot
Wabetainfo has shared a screenshot of the edit feature that is currently being developed. The screenshot shows a dedicated edit option when you select the message you sent. Along with the options to copy and forward the message, users will also get an edit option.
Can correct the typo
By selecting the edit button, you can correct any typos or errors even after sending your message. The current setup only allows users to delete messages. You cannot edit it.
On-going testing
WhatsApp for Android was testing the feature in beta, but the report states that WhatsApp is working on bringing the same feature to WhatsApp beta for iOS and desktop and more details will be available later. However, since this feature is in development, it is not known when this feature will be ready for a stable update, but WhatsApp may soon roll it out to more beta users.
