Now that the device has been introduced and its availability details have been divulged, Google must remain committed to the product and ensure that it continues to provide complete support for the watch for years to come.
As we have witnessed with the Pixel phones over the years, Google has better control over its support networks because the Pixel Watch is offered by Google and runs on the stock WearOS platform.
Support docs provided by 9to5Google state that the Pixel Watch will get three years’ worth of OS updates, including bug fixes & other feature improvements.
The Wi-Fi-only Google Pixel Watch costs $349 (Rs 28,269, approximately), while the LTE model costs an additional $399 (Rs 32,000, approximately).
Any Android device running Android 8.0 or later will be able to use Pixel Watch.
The AMOLED screen on the Pixel Watch has a pixel density of 320 PPI and a maximum brightness of 1000 nits, and it enables the Always-on display mode.
It runs on an Exynos 9110 SoC, has 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage space for your apps, watch faces, and other data.
The newest version of WearOS is what powers the watch.
The Pixel Watch is coming to several countries, but unfortunately, India is not one of them just yet.
Next year, when the Pixel tablet is also introduced, Google may debut a new Pixel foldable tablet.
