July 2022 Movie Calendar: The beginning of the month of July which came on Friday may not have been good at the box office but a lot of interesting content is coming for the audience right now. More than half a dozen popular films are about to be released in theaters and on OTT.
Bollywood July 2022: July started on Friday and two films came to the box office. Raksha Kavach Om and Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. The performance of both the films was not good in terms of the ticket window. While Aditya Roy Kapur starrer Raksha Kavach Om collected around 1.40 crores on the first day, Rocketry made in Tamil and Hindi could not make an impact in the Hindi belt. The film earned only Rs 65 lakh on the first day. But the audience need not be disappointed as there is still a lot of entertainment to come in theaters and OTT in July.
Movies in Theaters
Among the films that the audience will be waiting for this month, the first number is Shamshera. Ranbir Kapoor’s double role and Sanjay Dutt’s villainous film will release on 24th. Ranbir is in the headlines these days. The whole team is busy promoting vigorously and his wife Alia Bhatt is pregnant. Surely this thing can give a good opening to the film. The trailer of Ek Villain Returns, which is coming out on 29th July, has attracted an audience. The biggest question of John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani, and Tara Sutaria starrer film is who the villain? Who is killing one after the other. Shabaash Mithu, coming out on July 15, is a biopic of India’s most successful female cricketer Mithali Raj, in which Taapsee Pannu is in the lead role. There is no special buzz for the film yet. Along with this, the hit-the-first of Rajkumar Rao and Sanya Malhotra is also being released at the ticket window. It is a remake of South’s film of the same name.
Entertainment on OTT
Two films will be released directly this month on OTT as well. Jhanvi Kapoor and Deepak Dobriyal starrer Good Luck Jerry is the biggest attraction on 29th July on Hotstar. At the same time, on July 15, the magician of Jitendra Kumar, who turned hero from Panchayat, will be released on Netflix. Javed Jaffrey and Aarushi Sharma will be seen in this love story. Ranveer Vs Wild with Bear Grylls is coming on Netflix on 8th. Ranveer’s fans are waiting for the show. His birthday is on 6th July. On July 8, Amrita Subhash-Anoop Soni starrer web series Saas Bahu Achar Private Limited will come on Zee5. While the military-action series Shoorveer will be released on July 15 on Disney-Hotstar. It stars Makarand Deshpande, Manish Chaudhary and Regina Kassandra in lead roles. On July 20, Netflix is bringing the docudrama, Indian Predator – The Butcher of Delhi.
