(12/14/2022, 6:47 p.m. ET) UPDATE: Page Six has received a copy of the coroner’s report from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, which states that Stephen “tWitch” Boss passed away on December 13, 2022, from a “gunshot wound to the head.” His death was not thought to have been the result of foul play. The report said that the matter has been resolved as of Wednesday night, December 14.
(ORIGINAL STORY): After learning about Stephen “DJ tWitch” Boss’ passing on Wednesday, December 14, Ellen DeGeneres, 64, shared a picture of herself and tWitch lamenting the loss of their close friend. tWitch was tWitch’s sidekick and DJ for eight years on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. “I’m devastated. She stated, “tWitch was pure love and light. “I loved him with all of my heart because he was my family. He will be missed.
Ellen expressed her friend’s family’s support as she wrapped up her painful speech. Please offer Allison and his lovely children Weslie, Maddox, and Zaia your love and support, she pleaded.
According to TMZ, Boss, 40, allegedly died on Tuesday, December 13. According to the magazine, his wife Allison Holker said that her husband left the house without his vehicle and proceeded to the Los Angeles Police Department. According to reports, Stephen was present when police arrived in response to a call about an altercation at a hotel in Los Angeles. The DJ reportedly committed suicide, however the exact cause of death wasn’t immediately clear, according to TMZ.
In May 2022, Stephen spoke about his relationship with Ellen on Fox’s UpFront. According to E! News, he remarked, “Ellen and I have a number of inside jokes that occurred throughout the broadcast.” We simply keep laughing, laughing, laughing. He said that the conclusion of the Ellen Show “is the end of such a fantastic period. My life has been entirely affected by [the programme], and it has also given me such a family and such friends. Stephen was asked to leave his DJ booth and join Ellen on stage on the last episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. She added, “I love you so much,” before starting a unique video memorial for her pal, according to The Wrap. “Every time he’s absent, for whatever reason, something seems off. I anticipate him turning to face [me] and cracking cheesy jokes. His my friend. Because of our relationship, he is my sidekick, Ellen stated in the video. He will never leave my life, I promise.
Following the homage, he told DeGeneres, “I adore the family that we’ve acquired.” I’ll never forget that you provided me with a space where I could be who I really am.
Before participating in So You Think You Can Dance, Stephen Boss started his career as a dancer, making appearances in Blades of Glory and Hairspray from 2007. He returned as an All-Star in 2011, 2012, and 2013 after finishing second in the 2008 season.
