When it comes to purchasing SUVs in the price range of Rs 10-15 lakhs, the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos are two well-known models. n crash testing, the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos received an average safety rating of three stars. These two cars share a same building block. Both of the vehicles that underwent crash testing came standard with features including twin front airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors. However, the Seltos now comes with six airbags as standard after a recent upgrade.
Safety of adult riders
For adult safety, the Hyundai Creta received a score of 8 out of 17, whereas Seltos received a score of 8.03. The Creta provides acceptable head protection for the driver while providing excellent protection for the passenger’s head and neck. The front passenger’s head receives sufficient protection in the Seltos.
safeguards for young travellers
The Hyundai Creta gets a three-star rating for kid safety compared to the Kia Seltos’ two stars. There are no ISOFIX anchorages or three-point seatbelts for the passengers in either SUV. The Seltos received a lower rating than the Creta because they provided inadequate protection for the baby’s head.
