Sales Growth for the Skoda Kodiaq: The segment’s top-selling Toyota Fortuner sold 1,603 units in December 2022, while no other SUV in this class was able to sell more than 500 units in the previous month. However, compared to the 1,827 units sold in December 2021, Fortuner sales have decreased by 12.26%. In addition to this, the sales have fallen down month over month. In November 2022, Fortuner sold 1,967 units; in December 2022, this number fell by 18.51 percent. However, it still has a 76.12% market share. The Toyota Fortuner is the best-selling vehicle in its class despite all of this, yet something went wrong. The Skoda Kodiaq and MG Gloster in the category outperformed it in terms of sales growth.

Skoda Kodiaq sales increased by 94.55%
The Skoda Kodiaq now has nothing on the Toyota Fortuner in terms of sales volume, but if we look at the rise in sales on an annual basis, the Skoda Kodiaq will win in December 2022. Sales of the Skoda Kodiaq grew by 94.55 percent annually in December 2022. In December 2021, a total of 55 units were sold; this number rose to 107 units in December 2022. Its market share as of right now is 5.08 percent. The 2022 Kodiaq facelift, which was introduced last year, costs between Rs 35 lakh and Rs 37.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
Additionally, MG Gloster sales rose.
With a total of 111 units sold in December 2022—2.78 percent higher than the 108 units sold in December 2021—MG Gloster sales also increased. This is a very little benefit, however. 5.27 percent of the market belongs to it.
