Soon-to-be-released Grand Vitara is India’s first powerful hybrid car from Maruti Suzuki. There will be a choice between two powertrains for the Grand Vitara. A new 1.5-liter gasoline engine powered by advanced hybrid e-CVT technology will be installed. The other will be a 1.5-litre mild-hybrid petrol engine coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed AT.
Even the manual version of the Grand Vitara’s mild hybrid system will be the first of its kind in the sector. It’s worth mentioning that the powerful hybrid version of the car has a claimed fuel economy of 27.97 km/l. It is expected that before the end of this month, Maruti Suzuki will reveal the cost of their new Grand Vitara model.
