Tata Tiago EV Booking: Tata Motors has begun taking reservations for the nation’s most affordable electric vehicle, the Tata Tiago EV (from October 10). Customers may reserve the car for Rs 21,000 via dealerships and online. However, the majority of consumers have had issues while booking online. The website allegedly slowed down because of high demand. Later on, the business did correct it. The starting price of this electric hatchback when it was introduced last month was Rs 8.49. This pricing will apply to the first 10,000 clients.
Shailesh Chandra, MD of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, commented on the reservations for the Tiago EV, saying, “We are overwhelmed with the reaction to the Tiago EV at our dealerships and on our website. The website had some lag while there were concurrent online bookings but it has already been fixed. We apologise for the trouble this has created for our clients.
A 315 KM range
A 24 kWh battery pack that powers the car has a 315 KM range on a full charge. In addition, there is a 19.2 kWh battery pack, which provides an estimated 250 km of range. According to the manufacturer, this car can go from 0 to 60 kph in 5.7 seconds. The short range version’s motor can provide 45kW or 60bhp power and 105Nm of torque, while the long range version’s motor can produce 55kW or 74bhp power and 115Nm of torque.
