According to The Verge, American technology company Apple is developing an iPad dock that would turn the tablet into a smart display & speaker.
The business is also developing further smart home gadgets, like a new HomePod that, according to Gurman, may feature a multitouch display, an S8 chip, and an improved processor.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reportedly informed the media that the feature, which would turn the iPad into a gadget similar to the Amazon Echo Show and can be used on a tabletop or bedside, will be introduced early next year.
Similar functionality is already available for Amazon’s Fire tablets, which can be docked and propped up like a smart display while charging.
In the same vein, Google has introduced a docking device for its forthcoming Pixel Tablet that will act as a magnetic charging and speaker.
The Verge noted that once the tablet is set up, it would act as a Nest Hub Max, allowing you to manage your smart home with the Home app and interact with Google Assistant.
Gurman pointed out that an iPad docking station might serve the same purpose, allowing the user to control smart home gadgets and make FaceTime conversations without having to use their hands.
Gurman speculates that the revised HomePod, which the company is developing, will feature a new display, an S8 chip, including multitouch capability.
Gurman speculated last year that Apple is still working on a device that would combine an Apple TV with a smart speaker and a camera.
Meanwhile, The Verge reports that Apple will release the iPad Pro this month, featuring both 11-inch and 12.9-inch screen sizes and Apple’s custom-made M2 CPU.
