After sweeping the three-match T20I series against world champion Australia, Rohit Sharma and Team India will face Temba Bavuma and South Africa in a T20I and one-day international (ODI) series commencing on Wednesday in Thiruvananthapuram (September 28).
India has not yet released their ODI squad, although South Africa has confirmed its lineup for both T20Is and the ODIs.
In terms of the T20Is, Temba Bavuma will serve as the Proteas’ captain while Rohit Sharma will serve as the team’s captain for India.
After a disappointing performance at the Asia Cup 2022 earlier this month, India will be looking to get back on track and make it to the final.

The Proteas’ previous tour of India in June resulted in a 2-2 tie after the final game was postponed due to rain.
South Africa is likewise in fine form as of late, having won four out of their past five Twenty20 Internationals.
They beat England 2-1 in July and then beat Ireland 2-0 in August.
This will also mark the third meeting between the two squads so far this year.
Although South Africa has revealed its T20I and ODI squads, India has just revealed their T20I roster. In the T20 Internationals, Rohit Sharma will captain India while Temba Bavuma will lead South Africa. The series is a warmup for next month’s Twenty20 World Cup in Australia.
