A launch event for the iPhone 14 series is planned for September 7th, according to people familiar with the situation, marking the next iteration of the device that accounts for more than half of Apple Inc.’s revenue.
In addition to the new iPhones, Apple is expected to release several new Macs, low-end and high-end iPads, and three new Apple Watch models this fall.

As customers try to deal with rising prices and an uncertain economy, sales of smartphones have started to decline. However, Apple looks to be doing better than its competitors: iPhone sales were strong in the most recent quarter, and the company has assured its suppliers that it does not expect demand to decrease.
It’s common practice for Apple, Inc., headquartered in Cupertino, California, to unveil new Apple Watch models with the iPhone. The new iPhone is typically available for purchase around a week and a half after its unveiling, and this year is likely to follow suit. Some store workers have been informed of an upcoming, large product launch on September 16.
In New York, Apple rose by over 1% to $174.54. Despite recent gains, the stock is still down 2% for the year.
Instead of hosting a physical meeting, the corporation will continue the strategy it implemented at the outbreak’s outset and webcast the event online. It has been claimed by Bloomberg News that in the preceding weeks, Apple employees have been taping bits of the presentation in preparation for the launch.
A representative for Apple said they would not comment on the matter of timing. As of now, we’re still around three weeks out from the announcement, so Apple’s plans could shift, but historically, the company has introduced new iPhones at the beginning of September.
In June, Apple had an event to reveal their next software updates, which included iOS 16, iPadOS 16, watchOS 9, and macOS Ventura. The company also invited members of the press and development community to its campus to watch a video of the presentation. As part of Apple’s effort to return to normalcy, the company made that agreement, which included a return to the office.
Two days before the scheduled product announcement, on September 5th, the company informed its corporate workers that from that day, they would be obliged to work in-person three days a week.

The design of the basic iPhone 14 will be similar to that of the iPhone 13, but the “small” variant with a 5.4-inch screen will be discontinued and a 6.7-inch model will be introduced. Apple has never before released a non-Pro iPhone with such a large screen.
The iPhone 14 Pro range will see further substantial upgrades in the coming year. Apple plans to remove the notch from future iPhones and replace it with a pill-shaped cutout for the camera and Face ID sensors. The result will be a marginal increase in available desktop real estate for end users. The new iPhone 14 Pro also includes a speedier processor. Meanwhile, Apple’s standard iPhone 14 models will continue to use the A15 CPU first introduced with the iPhone 13.
The camera system on the iPhone 14 Pro, which will appear somewhat larger to consumers, will see the most substantial upgrades. The Pro versions will have a wide-angle camera with 48 megapixels, as well as ultrawide and telephoto lenses with 12 megapixels each. Apple also intends to enhance the battery life and video recording capabilities of its devices.
Features tailored to women’s health and a thermometer are among the new additions to Apple Watch Series 8. The new pro model will target active consumers and appear similar to the Series 7. The battery life will be longer, the screen size will be bigger, and there will be new fitness monitoring functions. According to a Bloomberg News story, Apple is planning to release new iPad Pro versions with M2 chips and an updated low-end iPad with an A14 CPU and USB-C connection later this year. It is also developing M2-based processor versions of the Mac mini and MacBook Pro, with hopes of releasing them before the year is over.
