Senior Executive Director of Marketing and Sales at Maruti Suzuki India Limited, Shashank Srivastava, stated, “For CNG cars, there are currently 1.23 lakh units that have not yet been reserved. Only 72 thousand of these reservations are for the Ertiga S-CNG.”
The Ertiga CNG model is available from Maruti Suzuki India in two variations: VXI(O) and ZXI (O). The cost is between Rs. 10.50 lakh and Rs. 11.60 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). In this MPV, a 1.5-liter gasoline engine is provided. In CNG mode, it can produce around 87 Bhp and about 122 Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual gearbox is connected to the Ertiga CNG.
Maruti Suzuki now offers 8 models in its Arena line-up of S-CNG vehicles: the Alto, Celerio, Wagon R, Swift, DZire, Ertiga, and Eeco. On the other side, with the addition of the Baleno and the XL6, the Nexa lineup now boasts two S-CNG variants.
