Indian Railways: Preparations are underway to start the Vande Bharat train on 75 routes by August 2023 Indian Railways. Sleeper Vande Bharat train will be special in many ways. It has many such features which make it different from Shatabdi and Rajdhani trains.
Indian Railways is continuously working on the convenience of the passengers. Railway has made many changes in the last few years to improve the experience of the passengers. Now work is being done on behalf of the Railways to connect many cities with the new Vande Bharat Train. Equipped with all the features, this train is better than Rajdhani and Shatabdi in many respects. Hearing about its merits, people are also saying that ‘the capital has also failed ahead of it’.
Announcement to run 400 Vande Bharat trains
In the budget 2022, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced to run 400 Vande Bharat trains in the next three years. Out of these 200 trains will be sleeper Vande Bharat. The government plans to connect 75 cities with Vande Bharat trains by August 2023. For this, fast train coaches are being manufactured at Integral Coach Factory, Chennai. Let’s talk about the features of this train, which make it even more special than Rajdhani.
1. Coach Inside Features
Every sleeper coach in Vande Bharat will have padded lightweight berths. Apart from this, there will be a laptop cum mobile charging socket and USB on every seat. The facility of separate reading lights on each seat will also be given on this train. There will be a snack table for four passengers in Third AC, one snack table for 3 passengers in Second AC and an LCD display in each cabin of First AC, and a snack table for each passenger.
2. The maximum speed
Train has been designed according to the speed of 160 kmph. On some routes, the railways will trial its speed at 180 kmph. Each Vande Bharat train takes 140 seconds to reach the speed of 0 to 140 kmph.

3. Automatic
Doors Vande Bharat will have fully automatic doors. The internal doors of the train will also open automatically on both sides on the arrival of the passenger. This feature of the train makes it very special.
4. CCTV
Vande Bharat every coach will have adequate surveillance cameras. These cameras will cover the passenger area. This will make the travel of the passengers more secure.
5. Passenger Information System
GPS-based passenger information system makes the train very special. With this system, there will be automatic announcement of every station. Also, the information of each station will be displayed on the display in Hindi, English and regional language.
6. Infotainment System
Passengers will be able to listen to music by accessing the Wi-Fi-based infotainment system in the train. Due to this even the longest journey will be pleasant.
7. Emergency Alarm And Exit
The train will have two emergency exits for less than 40 passengers. If there are more than 40 passengers, the emergency exit will increase to 4.
8. Reservation
Information related to the reservation of every passenger will be visible near his seat. This system will be integrated with the reservation system of the Railways.
