Shri Mata Vaishno Devi New Trains
Indian Railways has launched two new special trains to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra for the comfort of pilgrims. The holiday train service makes traveling to and from Katra a breeze.
Vaishno Devi Devotees Will Be Pleased to Hear There Is Now a New Train to Take Them to Maa Vaishno Devi’s Shrine. The Railways are operating two special trains between New Delhi and Katra to make travel easier for passengers during the holiday season. Both of the special trains, according to a representative from Northern Railway, will feature both AC and general coaches.

According to the railways,
Stations served by these express trains between New Delhi and Katra include Sonipat, Panipat, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Ambala Cantonment, Ludhiana, Jalandhar Cantonment, Pathankot Cantonment, Jammu, and Udhampur. Our return trip from Katra to New Delhi will include a stop at this station. Both trains will operate according to the following schedule.
01633/01634 New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-New Delhi Special Train
01633 On 11 August 2022, at 11:30 p.m., the New Delhi–Shri Mata Vaishno Devi–Katra Special Train will depart and arrive at Shri Mata Devi–Katra at 12.00 noon the following day. On the 14th of August at 9:10 PM, the 01634 Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra – New Delhi Special train will leave Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and arrive in New Delhi at 10:30 AM the following morning.
04033/04034 New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-New Delhi Special Train
On August 12th, 2022, at 11:30 p.m., the 04033 New Delhi–Shri Mata Vaishno Devi–Katra Special Train will depart New Delhi for Shri Mata Devi–Katra. On the same date (August 15) at 9:10 p.m., the 04034 Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra – New Delhi Special train will leave Katra for Delhi. It will arrive in Delhi at 10:30 a.m. the following day.
Prior to this, special trains were already being operated by the Railways from both Chennai and Delhi to Katra. Other names given to the train by the Railways include the “Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-Chennai Express” and the “Hazrat Nizamuddin Ernakulam Superfast” (Ernakulam Hazrat Nizamuddin SF Express), both of which depart from Delhi’s Hazrat Nizamuddin station.
Devotees from all over India, including Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Jammu, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh, have benefited from the Railways’ decision.
