Former Bigg Boss contestant and BJP leader Sonali Phogat passes away in Goa from a heart attack. 

Sonali Phogat, a BJP leader from Haryana and a former contestant on Bigg Boss, died on Monday at the age of 42 in Goa (August 22, 2022). Sonali Phogat, who was a big TikTok star, had a heart attack, according to the most recent news.

The news agency PTI said that she was taken to St. Anthony Hospital in Anjuna, North Goa district, on Monday night after she said she felt sick. Jivba Dalvi, the Deputy Superintendent of Police in Mapusa, said that she was brought to the hospital dead.

According to PTI, Dalvi said, “On the surface, it appears that a heart attack was the cause of death, but further medical testing is underway.”

The official stated that the postmortem examination would take place at the Goa Medical College and Hospital in Bambolim, which is managed by the state. 

ML Khattar, the chief minister of Haryana, expressed his regret and sympathies for Sonali Phogat’s passing.

The actress-turned-politician uploaded some of her images on her official social media platforms, including Instagram and Facebook, hours before her sad demise.  

Sonali Phogat, who rose to fame with viral TikTok videos, ran for the Haryana assembly in 2019 on a BJP nomination for the Adampur constituency. Unfortunately, she was defeated in the election by then-Congress leader Kuldeep Bishnoi by a margin of nearly 29,000 votes. 

Sonali Phogat, who had over 19 lakh followers following her on TikTok, was also a contestant in the fourteenth season of the reality television show Bigg Boss. Sonali Phogat began her professional career in 2006 by hosting a Haryanvi programme on the television network Doordarshan. Her first role as an actress was in the television show “Amma: Ek Maa Jo Laakhon Ke Liye Bani Amma,” which she debuted in 2016. She appeared in “The Story of Badmashgarh” in 2019.
